I’ve always liked Gridlock, I’ve just never loved it.  For whatever reason, it seems to be seen as “the” Gears map, to the point where it will now be making its unprecedented 3rd entry into the franchise when Gears of War 3 once again launches with Gridlock on the disk.

PSA: Don’t Delete Your Gears 3 Beta Save File!

You worked really hard to get all those unlockables in the Gears of War 3 Beta.  You played 10 matches so you could unlock Thrashball Cole in the full retail version of the game.  You got 100 kills with the gold retro lancer so you could unlock it in the retail version of the game.

It would be a shame to see that all go to waste.

Gears 3 Beta Surprise: Bighead and Chipmunk Mode

Thought you were done with craziness in the Gears 3 beta after Easter weekend wrapped up?  Think again.  As a previously unannounced surprise, this weekend will feature both big head mode and chipmunk mode (we’ve embedded a video after the break!).  That means that your characters will be running around with gigantic melons (quick, grab that longshot!), and will sound like chipmunks when they try to speak.

Tired of playing the same old Team Deathmatch game mode on the same three maps over and over again?  Prepare to broaden your horizons a bit, as the King of the Hill game mode and Old Town map are both now playable.
